How to Treat Motor Submerged After Flood

In the rainy season like now it makes some motorists become a dilemma. This usually happens on a rider who uses the motor to move. There are times when the motor should still be used even if the reckless riders know very well that the condition of the streets were flooded. But what may make, work obligations should remain under-united. Result was predictable, motorcycle kesayanganpun forced to strike in the middle of the road and all the sacrifices that only made matters worse added.

Not one or two people who experienced something like the above. There are a lot of riders who still considers trivial dangers that arise when floods hit the motorcycle. In fact, if the water is inhaled by the engine, into the combustion chamber, the engine will be broken. The haln usually called water hammer (water hammer). This effect can make the crooked piston, piston was beat blocks and cylinder heads.

Specifically for motorcycles that are already flooded, the owner of the vehicle needs to consider several things to restore it to its original state. The important point if the motor is already affected by the floods do not force the motor to be turned on, because dirt or silt can get into the engine and can cause wear.
Here are some steps that need to be done to fix the motor after the flood:

STEP ONE:

Open the engine. Ranging from oil pan (crank ase), bath clutch, cylinder blocks and cylinder heads, until the carburetor (non-injection). While to make sure the motor type automatic CVT components behind the tub did not hit the water. If the bike store water in the engine or carburetor, pull the motor into mbrebet and even sudden death.

STEP TWO:

Then after all that is done, it's worth all the components soaked in gasoline or neutralizing fluid and dry, so that the dirt like sand and soil can be lost at once to remove rust. If you are inexperienced, you should submit it to an experienced mechanic.

STEP THREE:

Replace with new engine oil. It must be done for fear of oil already mixed water conditions.

STEP FOUR:

Check the electrical system. Steps that must be done is to open all motorcycle electrical components, such as switches, cable connectors, spool, starter motor until the bulb fitting. Because if it is not to be opened can affect corrosion that can cause a short circuit. If electrical components has been opened, dried in the sun or using a compressor, do not forget anti-rust spray. Last reinstall the engine and electrical components, and do testing.

STEP FIVE:

Furthermore overcome the possible rear brakes (drum especially) after locking submerged. Problems rear brake lock itself after passing through a puddle of water in common. Usually the cause is due to the brake surface is wet or damp. These conditions cause the sticky when attached to the surface of the drum. To overcome this, washed immediately after play-play while the brake while the motor is running to drain the room and also the surface of the drum brake.
